Dr. Kirchhoff is an Academic Editor II at AJE. She received a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD in Physics from Florida State University. Her dissertation focused on the electro-optical properties of complex liquid crystal mixtures. Prior to joining AJE, Dr. Kirchhoff worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University, utilizing X-ray reflectivity and microdiffraction to study the phase transitions of reactive multilayer foils.
