He received a BA in Humanities-Classics from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MA and PhD in English Literature from Kent State University. He has published on the narratives of Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan, and he taught English literature and composition at the university level. Dr. Marbais is also certified by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
